Halong Bay Away

Diego and I took our first overnight cruise to Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, between Vietnam and China. It was a good experience mostly because the thousands of islands in the bay really do create a breathtaking natural setting. We had the chance to kayak into a cave and see monkeys, lots of birds and fish; hike and swim on an island; do morning tai chi on the boat's deck; explore a beautiful, huge cave full of interesting rock formations; practice rolling our own spring rolls; learn about the native fishing villages we passed; and of course, marvel at the topography of the bay. It was one of the most beautiful places we have seen on the trip and we'd recommend going -- so without further ado, here are the pictures!
